Brexit<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Well there is only one response to the\ncurrent Brexit situation. I\u2019ve wrapped my paws over my eyes and ears and buried\nmy head deep in the corner of my new bed. I\u2019m hoping it\u2019s all just going to go\naway. It\u2019s times like this you realise how important it is for dogs to be given\nthe vote. What sensible dog would have got us into this situation? Ok, maybe a\nPekingese or a Chihuahua might do, but if you ask your average dog and he or\nshe will tell you that borders are all pretty meaningless. That is except their\nown immediate back yard, which they will defend against all comers including\nthe postman. Why do humans take actions that are so fundamentally stupid? I\u2019m\nnot really expecting you to answer that one. I\u2019ve tried asking our Mistress and\nall she\u2019d say was \u2018It beats me\u2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Countdown<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Well the humans now have less than 72 days to\nsort it out. I\u2019d like to say if all else fails I could go and live with our Master\nin Switzerland, but that\u2019s not so simple. Even if the travel across the Channel\nis not as badly affected as people fear, my rabies vaccination is out of date\nso I\u2019m stuck here for a while. Our Mistress says that even if I go and have a\nnew vaccination then the very earliest I\u2019d be able to travel if it all goes\nwrong is the middle of May. Aristotle\u2019s in the same position. I\u2019ve asked our Mistress\nto promise that she won\u2019t go without me and thankfully she\u2019s been happy to give\nme that assurance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prime Minister<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There was a time when I saw myself being able\nto take on the job of Prime Minister and be able to lead this country. I\u2019m too\nold for that now, but I do think Wilma might make a rather good job of it. Are\nSwiss Nationals allowed to stand for Parliament? She does now have a UK\npassport as well as her Swiss one. I\u2019m sure she could bring people together and\nshe is a natural leader. Anyway, I\u2019ll leave that for you to think about if you\nneed her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
