Carpe Diem<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Well there is nothing to make you think carpe\ndiem more than a week of losing dogs you know. Our Mistress and I sat down and\nhad a big cuddle and a little cry over the loss of Queenie this week. It brings\nit home to you when you\u2019re so close in age. Our Mistress gets a bit sentimental\nabout the times she has to leave me behind when she goes to visit our Master.\nShe asked if I\u2019d like to travel with her, but I shook my head sadly and said I\nreally didn\u2019t think that was a good idea. I reminded her how distressed I got\nthe last time I went abroad and that was three years ago. To be honest I think\nthere\u2019s too much snow and too many steps for me there too. We agreed to try\nsome fun things to do together here to make up for it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Old People\u2019s Outing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On the note of fun things, our Mistress laughed\nthat yesterday she was the taxi for an old people\u2019s outing. More to the point\nan old dogs\u2019 outing. She took Shadow and me for our swimming. I find it hard to\nthink of Shadow as old but she\u2019ll be ten in only three weeks. We both had a\ngood swim and I think it did us both good. We also enjoyed the attention it\ngave us from our Mistress and that\u2019s always nice at our age. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brexit<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You may wonder why I\u2019m not mentioning Brexit.\nAs a seriously elderly dog. I am reserving my right to bury my head in the sand\nand have refused to look at what is going on. Oh I know that when I do I\u2019ll\nhave something to say about it, but just for the moment I\u2019m trying to pretend\nthat the world I know and love is not in a mess. Let\u2019s be honest, I said all I\ncould when I was younger, but you didn\u2019t listen then and I don\u2019t suppose you\u2019ll\nlisten to an old dog now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
