Well it has been a very odd Christmas this\nend. You wouldn\u2019t believe the number of things which can happen. Firstly, Granny\nand Grandpa\u2019s turkey had gone off. It really didn\u2019t smell very nice at all. Fortunately,\nwe got there on Christmas eve and found out before the shops had shut, so Mum\ndid an emergency trip to Sainsbury\u2019s to get a replacement. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Then on Christmas morning we found we\u2019d left\nsomething important at home. Home was now 126 miles away. As soon as we got up,\nMum and I drove all the way back to Yorkshire to collect it before then getting\nback to my grandparents to cook lunch 250 miles later. Then just for good\nmeasure, Mum scalded her hand on the kettle. She says it\u2019s ok, just really sore,\nbut she wishes she hadn\u2019t done it. To be honest, after all that she\u2019d had\nenough. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
After that we had to drive again to visit my\nother grandparents. Anyway, that\u2019s what Christmas is all about isn\u2019t it,\nspending all day in the car driving. I did have a little walk by the Embankment\nin Bedford, but that\u2019s never quite the same when my friend Koppa isn\u2019t there to\njoin me for it. Hopefully I can have a walk across the fields today. It will\nmake up a bit for yesterday when Mum had promised to take me to Bradgate Park\nand then couldn\u2019t. It\u2019s actually Dad\u2019s birthday today, so I guess there will be\npresent opening too. I don\u2019t think there will be any for me today. I\u2019m sure Dad\nwill share whatever he does have though, so it won\u2019t be too bad. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
How was your Christmas? I hope it was a bit\nof quieter than ours was. Now I\u2019m looking forward to a few days that are a\nlittle bit less crazy, give or take driving to Switzerland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
