Santa Paws<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We saw Santa Paws yesterday. It was so exciting.\nOf course a quick sniff told me all I needed to know, but it was still just\ngreat. It wasn\u2019t like when he came to the doorstep in Switzerland. He was wearing\na slightly different outfit yesterday and there was no scary person with him.\nHe\u2019d got a wonderful bell that looked awfully like the Swiss cow bells. I\nwanted to ask him about that, but I didn\u2019t get chance. He was very busy asking\neveryone what they wanted for Christmas. I said I want Alfie\u2019s eyesight to be\nall right, as it seems to be causing him some big problems all of a sudden. I\ndon\u2019t know what the others asked for, but I do hope he can arrange my request\nas I\u2019m really worried about him. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guide Dog<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Mum says if Alfie\u2019s sight goes then I will\nhave to be his guide dog. Of course, I\u2019d be honoured to do that, but when I\ntravel with Mum I won\u2019t be there to look after him. I\u2019d be really torn as I\nlove Alfie very much and would want to do my best for him, but I couldn\u2019t bear not\nto travel with Mum. Perhaps Shadow could learn to look after him too and then\nshe could be a guide dog for the times I\u2019m away and I could do it all the rest\nof the time. Maybe he\u2019ll be all right and it was just a blip but he tripped\nover the base of the dog gate which he has never done before and didn\u2019t see a\ndoor had been opened for him to go through. Maybe it\u2019s just his dementia and\nnot his sight. We will have to wait to find out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grandparents<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Today is a grandparents\u2019 day \u2013 Mum and Dad are\nhaving lunch with them. I shall sit and wait patiently. Mum is then taking me\nfor a walk around a place she used to go many many years ago. I know I\u2019ll be\nexpected to say \u2018oh that\u2019s nice\u2019 in all the right places. The problem is, I don\u2019t\nalways know what those places are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
