I think my first new year\u2019s resolution is to\nfind a girlfriend. I am considering looking into whether there is internet\ndating for dogs. I do meet other dogs when I am out, but these are mostly boys.\nThere must be some nice girl dogs out there but they just don\u2019t walk in the\nplaces I go. I need someone that can cope with my lively, energetic and\nenthusiastic nature and the fact that I don\u2019t always know my own strength. I\u2019ve\ngiven my mistress enough bruises to last a lifetime so it would be no good my\nfinding a really soft sensitive type. I’m pretty much stuck if they want\npuppies too. I suppose I could look for an older dog that has already had\npuppies but I think I might be a little too energetic for that. To be honest a\ngirl about my age might be best. I wonder how I should describe myself for an\nadvert.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Then I looked at 2013 when Shadow was about\nto have her third litter and I just has to bring you the whole post all over\nagain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Shadow has reached the stage of her pregnancy\nwhere she does not want to sleep alone. She always gets very clingy when her\ndue date is approaching. She is too big to clamber up onto my Mistress\u2019s bed,\nbut my new basket is very large\u2026and cosy. I went to sleep, minding my own\nbusiness and woke to find Shadow curled up with me. To be fair, I didn\u2019t mind\ntoo much. It is the least I can do to help. My Mistress checked back to last\nyear to see when it was that Shadow started refusing food. It was funny when it\nhappened the first time my Mistress was really worried that she was ill. Then\nshe read lots of things about dogs and pregnancy and found it was perfectly\nnormal. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Anyway, on Thursday Shadow ate as much as she\ncould find. She ate probably 3 \u00bd to 4 times the amount she would normally eat\nin a day. She was just and eating machine. Then Friday she didn\u2019t want\nanything. To be honest after a binge like that I rarely want anything, but\nthat\u2019s not the point. Last year she refused food on the 14th<\/sup> and\ngave birth on the 19th<\/sup>. This year she has started refusing food on\nthe 20th<\/sup> which would mean if she follows the same pattern she will\ngive birth on the 25th<\/sup>! My Master says he\u2019s known all along that it\nwill be Christmas Day \u2013 he says it\u2019s the \u2018Rosemary factor\u2019 and things like that\nalways happen to my Mistress. It\u2019s a bit like a butterfly flapping in one part\nof the world creating a hurricane somewhere else \u2013 she is her very own little\ncentre of chaos. More to the point, she\u2019s our very own centre of chaos! Looking\non the bright side, at least you won\u2019t all be at work so if things do happen on\nthat day there will be nothing to stop you checking in regularly to see how\nthings are progressing.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Have a really great Friday everyone<\/p>\n\n\n\n Love<\/p>\n\n\n\n Wilma<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u00a9 2018 Rosemary J.
