I\u2019ve found myself being all soppy and in need of cuddles the last few days. I\u2019m back to struggling to jump up onto the bed but I\u2019ve got my steps so our Mistress has put those back in place for me. Lots of people think old dogs don\u2019t look as cute as puppies and so don\u2019t give the same levels of fuss and attention \u2013 we need just as much. Ok, there are days where bits of us hurt and if you accidentally stroke one of those we will ask you to stop, but that does not mean we don\u2019t want some love. Even though I have lots of lumps in my neck, there is nothing I like more than having it ever so gently stroked. I\u2019m a bit of a soppy old dog really. Out Mistress sat on the floor with me while she was having her\nbreakfast. I took that as a sign we\u2019d both be eating. Regrettably she had a\ndifferent view and proceeded to polish off the whole bowl on her own. She\npointed out that I\u2019d already had mine. A point I wasn\u2019t disputing. I was more\nconcerned that I hadn\u2019t already had hers!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Our Master is home<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Our Master is now home and for a short while\nwe can be one big happy family. Of course it\u2019s lovely, but just as I get used\nto it the numbers will change again and I\u2019ll be confused. I do wish there were\nmore constants in my life. My Mistress reminded me that when I was little she\nwas the only constant I needed. As long as I had her somewhere within paw\u2019s\nreach then I knew I\u2019d be ok. She said if I could just remember that still\napplies then I\u2019d find life easier.
