You\u2019re\ngoing to like this. It\u2019s from when I first moved in. Ari decided to interview\nme for the diary so you could all get to know me a bit better. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">December 2015<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As Alfie is now taking Monday\u2019s off as well\nyou are going to have to get used to me and Wilma writing on a Monday. One of\nus is excited about that prospect, but then one of us is excited about just\nabout everything. Today along with her first Kong recipe I thought I\u2019d do a\nlittle interview with her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Right then, Wilma, after your first couple of\nweeks what do you think of living with us?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cI don\u2019t think Shadow likes\nme very much. She keeps growling at me and snarling when I go near the chew\nthat I thought our Mistress had given me.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That was Shadow\u2019s before it was yours. Actually more to the point, it was going to be Alfie\u2019s but Shadow takes all the chews away from us and claims them as hers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cShe\u2019s not very good at\nsharing is she? Then she tried flaunting it in front of me. What am I supposed\nto do?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I think you are supposed to roll over and say\n\u2018Oh great and mighty Shadow I know you\u2019re the boss,\u2019 but let\u2019s be honest,\nyou\u2019re not going to do that are you?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cNo, probably not. Our\nMistress says she thinks I\u2019m a natural born leader whereas Shadow does it by\nbullying. Bullying\u2019s not nice is it.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No, but let\u2019s be honest, she\u2019s my Mum and I\u2019m\npretty scared of her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cApart from Shadow I think I like living here. Our Mistress is great. I love getting into bed with her in a morning. I like working for my treats too. That might sound odd, but I love working. I love mud too and there\u2019s lots of that. Unfortunately, I seem to get into trouble when I want to bring it all home and spread it over our Mistress\u2019s clean clothes. I like sharing a bedroom with you too. It\u2019s comforting having another dog there at night when it\u2019s dark. I\u2019m trying to sleep through the night and not wake you, really I am. I\u2019m managing to 5am now, so I\u2019m getting better.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kong Recipe<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Right, then, Wilma, tell us about the first recipe you\u2019ve tried and what you think.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cWell our Mistress helped. She didn\u2019t think we should be trusted with a grater. We mixed some natural yoghurt with a grated carrot and some kibble and then froze it. Then we did one without the kibble too, but I prefer it with some kibble in it. We also tried it in a bone rather than a Kong and I much preferred the bone as it was easier to get out. Being frozen it still took me a while though, so it served its purpose. I\u2019ve asked our Mistress to buy lots more carrots so we can have some more like that. She\u2019s rounding up all the old bones that are lying around too as they are so easy to fill.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Well, that\u2019s all from the kitchen today, unless I can lay by paws on the rest of the white chocolate and blueberry muffins that our Mistress made for the humans. They smell pretty good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/alfiedog.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/IMG_2568-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11181\"\/><figcaption>Wilma and Alfie Dec 2015<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Meanwhile back in 2018<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Oh you have to laugh. At least Shadow gave up trying to be boss shortly after that and just let me get on with the job. It\u2019s funny how times change. I get to sleep in Mum\u2019s bed all the time now.
