Well, I spent yesterday morning being prodded and poked. There was me thinking I was in for a relaxing day but things so often don\u2019t go as planned. I had an upset tummy but was then bleeding quite a lot. Our Mistress didn\u2019t know if it was all a result of the visit to the vet\u2019s I\u2019d had earlier this week or if I had a big problem. She decided I needed to be looked at all the same. Just tell me, who wants to spend their Saturday morning when they were thinking of going back to bed, with someone\u2019s fingers stuck up their bottom? Not me, that\u2019s for certain. I was complimented on how still I will stand and how good I am, but really why would I move? The more I wriggle the longer the whole thing was going to take.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I\u2019m now on probiotics and being monitored and have to go back to the vet in the week. Our Mistress is taking good care of me and I\u2019m getting extra cuddles so it\u2019s not all bad. To be fair she spent much of yesterday afternoon asleep. She had her flu jab the day before and it seems to have left her feeling very sleepy. At least that\u2019s the excuse she used for curling up under the duvet for a long nap. Wilma joined her, so she was happy. Due to my rear end, I wasn\u2019t actually allowed on the settee, which was unfortunate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our Mistress has to prepare this week\u2019s quiz at the pub. She earned the role of quizmaster by getting a tie-break question the most wrong! She went to the quiz two weeks ago and the team she was on did quite well on everything except the tie-break! That was used to work out who would set the next quiz and the person who got the question most wrong drew the short straw. That would be our Mistress. It\u2019s all very well, but that means we\u2019ve spent the last two weeks with her repeatedly asking us questions we couldn\u2019t possibly know the answers to. We\u2019re just hoping that the people she\u2019s asking tonight can do a little better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
