Of course if she catches me calling her that, I\u2019ll be for it. But we\u2019re all happy to see my mum bouncing again. We\u2019re just crossing our paws that the rest of her pain will go and she might now have a run of good health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shadow went for her first walk in ages yesterday. Not going has been her choice. She went out in Switzerland just to the patch of grass she liked for going to the toilet, but only when she needed to and then turned straight round to go home. Yesterday she was happy to potter along for a bit of a sniff and find out what was going on in the world while she was away. She had her tail held high and a smile on her face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-shrinking-in-the-wash\">Shrinking in the wash<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I think my harness has shrunk in the wash. Our Mistress swears it has not been in the wash while she was away, but I can think of no other explanation as to why it wouldn\u2019t fit me anymore. She\u2019s let it out a bit and asked me if I was helping myself to Alfie\u2019s food while we were away. Honestly, anyone would think she didn\u2019t trust me. Thankfully Alfie\u2019s looking pretty good, so I\u2019m not in big trouble. I thought I could get away with it, but clearly that\u2019s not the case. She\u2019s talking about me going on a diet. Help! I like food. We didn\u2019t do anything very much, but we did cut the dead heads off the roses and water some of the plants. Our Master and Mistress have this thing where they count how many blooms they get on the roses in the front garden each year. We cut 110 dead heads yesterday, which even I thought was quite a lot. I like our time together. When we went back inside I went and gave her a cuddle again and gave her my \u2018please don\u2019t leave me again\u2019 face.
