I think we have some better news. Well the day didn\u2019t end quite as badly yesterday as we thought it might. Our Master was sent on a late flight with another airline and made it to Switzerland before the end of the day. We really want to wish him all the luck in the world as he starts his new job today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was all a bit emotional yesterday morning as he came round and said goodbye to each of the four of us before our Mistress took him to the station. I know he didn\u2019t actually say the words, but I think we were both wondering how many times we\u2019ll see each other again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Today is my check up after my operation. It was supposed to be with the vet that did the operation, but as they are 50 miles away and 10 of those are on minor roads, our Mistress decided it would be better for me to see our own vet, who are only one mile away. My eye is still very red and a bit swollen, so we need to see what my vet says. I\u2019m just hoping the car will start ok as our Mistress has said I have to walk otherwise. Now I know I can do a mile, at least I could last autumn, but when you are my age and the weather is this cold and snowy it probably isn\u2019t such a good idea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Apart from that, I have no intention of going anywhere until the weather warms up a little. My old bones are not so good when the temperature is below freezing the whole time. I know I\u2019m a mountain dog, but I\u2019m an old mountain dog and even we are allowed to retire and spend our twilight by the fireside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
