Wilma gets all the attention. She even gets invited to go when our Mistress has meetings to go to. Admittedly she is very good at sitting quietly by our Mistress\u2019s feet and only speaking when spoken to, but it\u2019s always her. I\u2019d get annoyed if Wilma weren\u2019t always so nice about everything. She is the most generous spirited of dogs that you can\u2019t help but like her. I can\u2019t really complain. Our Mistress did find a time to spend with me on my own yesterday. I only really relax properly when I\u2019m close to her and I was so tired that I just fell deeply asleep. I know that doesn\u2019t seem like I\u2019m making the most of the time, but it was probably good for me. I have my vet appointment this afternoon. I\u2019m sure I\u2019ll be fine, but I know our Mistress is a bit worried. She\u2019s going away without me in a couple of weeks and sat me down to have a long chat about the fact that if I need her at any point I just have to pick up the phone and she\u2019ll come straight home to me. I\u2019m sure I won\u2019t but it\u2019s nice to know I can do that. Ari said I should try it, just to test out the system, but our Mistress knows I wouldn\u2019t do that and I really will only call if I need to. I wish she weren\u2019t going away at all, but never mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When they go away Wilma is having a beach party for her birthday. To be fair the party is a couple of days before her birthday and all the dogs she has invited don\u2019t know it\u2019s her birthday. It makes it a bit of a stretch to call it a birthday party, but she\u2019s thinking of it in those terms and who am I to spoil her excitement?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
