No sooner to I extol the virtues of spring being in the air than the weather gods unleash a torrent of abuse. Well, obviously it might be all right where you are, but here we have had strong winds, sleet, hail, a wind chill that could have turned Marta Hari to ice and a general proof that very little can be relied upon. This is where living on an island is a pain. Oh it might not get as cold as it does in the middle of a continent, but we never know what it\u2019s going to do from one minute to the next. I blame our Mistress for switching back to her summer tyres on the car. If she hadn\u2019t done that we might have enjoyed soaring temperatures and be able to bask in global warming. I nearly resorted to my fleece coat after swimming yesterday, but I didn\u2019t want to look soft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Shadow is fed up with me because while she has had to diet very hard in order to lose weight I seem to be managing to lose some weight without trying. I was surprised when I got on the scales at swimming yesterday to find I\u2019m only 28kg. That must be the lightest I\u2019ve been for the last nine years or more. On the bright side, our Mistress says I can have an extra treat or two, but she doesn\u2019t want me to have too many. What was interesting at swimming yesterday was that there was a dog in the other room barking and I didn\u2019t freak out. Our Mistress says she thinks the beta blockers seem to be really helping me. When I thought about it I wasn\u2019t as stressed in kennels either so maybe they are doing me good. I wouldn\u2019t go as far as saying I feel sociable but having other dogs around doesn\u2019t seem quite so bad as it did.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
