I like our vet, really I do, but that does not mean I want to keep visiting them. I\u2019d be happy to see them out socially now and again, as long as they weren\u2019t with their dogs, but I really would like to stop visiting their practice. For one thing it smells of other dogs and that\u2019s disconcerting. Secondly, they keep prodding me. Oh, I like the biscuits I get at the end, but that\u2019s beside the point. A gland in my neck on the right-hand side is swollen. Mum thinks it has actually got a bit worse since I saw someone last week and I\u2019m still pretty miserable so back we went. We saw a different vet, so she couldn\u2019t say that it felt bigger than last week or not, but she did think that the best thing to do is to find out a little more. So this morning I\u2019m off to have a needle stuck in it to see what\u2019s going on and that is going to mean a sedative, so I couldn\u2019t have breakfast today and that is NOT good news!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It means Ari will have to go swimming this morning instead of me, but he won\u2019t mind that too much. It will be Shadow\u2019s last weigh in before Crufts and we\u2019re all looking forward to seeing if she made it down to 23kg or not. Our Mistress says she still needs to lose some more, so whatever happens today the diet continues. On the bright side, seeing just how much energy Shadow has got has finally given our Mistress the kick she needs. Of course, whether her diet lasts more than 24hours this time remains to be seen, but she can at least try to think thin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I\u2019m off to sit in the car and wait for our Mistress to take me to the vet. It\u2019s the only place where I don\u2019t seem to be surrounded by food!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
