I\u2019ve been rather enjoying having a lot of garden time and whilst it was dry Wilma and I could chase round quite happily without our Mistress worrying we\u2019d either slide into the vegetables or do ourselves some injury. Now it\u2019s all wet again and we\u2019re inside watching it. I did spend some time outside in the rain with our Mistress yesterday trying to clear the pump on the fountain. She was doing the work, I was just offering advice. You know the sort of thing. Helpful comments like, \u2018I wouldn\u2019t do it like that if I were you\u2019 without actually suggesting how I would do it. At one point I was in serious danger of having the bucket of slimy goo poured all over me, but that\u2019s the price you pay for a bit of fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We have at last got the car back from repair so walks for me can start again. Because I can\u2019t walk on tarmac I have to have a lift away from the house to go for a walk. Sadly, without the car that\u2019s not possible. It wasn\u2019t helped by our Mistress leaving her waterproofs in the car, and the dog seatbelt. I wasn\u2019t so bothered that she\u2019d left her boiled sweets, but somehow she seemed to think that was a big deal. Anyway, the car is home and is now working, although our Mistress says there will be fewer dog biscuits for a while because it was expensive to fix. I pointed out that my brothers and sisters had helped buy the car and I was sure they wouldn\u2019t want me to cut down on dog biscuits, but apparently as that\u2019s five years ago now it has been overtaken by other things, so my argument didn\u2019t get very far. I think I\u2019m going to have to ask for a massive stock of biscuits for my birthday present in a few weeks\u2019 time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
