Now I don\u2019t know whether it is the sunshine or the new tablets from the vet, or for that matter the lavender and mint spray, but for the last few days I\u2019ve felt a lot happier. I can move my neck further than I\u2019ve been able to for a while, which I guess is the tablets. I have wanted to go out for walks and yesterday our Mistress gave in and took me. She was still glad we didn\u2019t see another dog as she has no idea just how far improved my mood is, and come to that neither have I. I didn\u2019t want to go very far when we got there, but that wasn\u2019t the point. I was tail up, a happy dog, sniffing the breeze and enjoying that day. Oh I\u2019ve still grizzled in the house when I can\u2019t be with our Mistress, but I don\u2019t think I\u2019ve been quite so bad there either and certainly she says I have not been quite so bad in the garden. I shall be ten and half on Friday and it would be nice to think that, for at least a while anyway, I could have a happier old age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Wilma is going to talk to our vet today about her teeth and jaw. She\u2019s trying not to worry, but is hoping that our vet might say something encouraging to her. I even offered to go to hold her paw, but I have to say I was relieved when she said she\u2019d be fine with our Mistress. She and our Mistress have become very close and the odd thing is that I\u2019m not jealous. It\u2019s impossible not to love Wilma. There\u2019s just something about her that even we dogs can see is very special. She\u2019s got the doggy \u2018it\u2019 factor. That indefinable something that very few have and which is impossible to pin down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
