Alfie had to go to the vet yesterday because his glands were all swollen in his neck. Our Mistress is quite worried about him, because he says he really isn\u2019t feeling right. He had blood taken and will get some results today. He\u2019s been given antibiotics as a precaution, but he doesn\u2019t have a temperature and the vet does not think it is an infection. I know our Mistress is worried about him and doing all she can to make sure he\u2019s comfortable. He says his arthritis is playing up too, but I think he may just be feeling grumbly because he\u2019s not well.<\/p>\n<p>We heard from my sister Dora too and she\u2019s not well. She\u2019s got arrhythmia and her heart <a href=\"http:\/\/alfiedog.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_2941-e1457011844633.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-11442\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-11442\" src=\"http:\/\/alfiedog.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_2941-e1457011844633-300x180.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_2941\" width=\"300\" height=\"180\" \/><\/a>stopped when she was about to have an operation on her leg. Thankfully they managed to start it again but she is now going to need medication. I\u2019m just glad she\u2019s ok. Now she doesn\u2019t know what\u2019s going to happen about her leg operation so she\u2019s in pain too. Mum, our Mistress and I are sending you lots of get well wishes.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/alfiedog.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_2943-e1457011902430.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-11443\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-11443 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/alfiedog.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_2943-e1646330113721-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_2943\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a>Anyway, back to my walk. We had to fit it in around lots of other things yesterday, but picked exactly the right time. The Red Arrows were doing some flights out of the local RAF airfield and were doing all their formation flying as though it was a display especially for us. Our Mistress liked the heart with the arrow through it best, but she\u2019s soppy like that. I was just amazed by watching how close together they fly. I was reading about a dog learning to fly the other day and wondered if we\u2019d ever see the day of a dog flight display team. I\u2019m sure it\u2019s something Wilma and I could do if we set out minds to it, but I don\u2019t think there is much risk of our Mistress either allowing it, or for that matter paying for it.
