Shadow is off for her x-ray this morning. She says she feels a little anxious as she has never had an x-ray while she\u2019s awake before. Our Mistress reassured her that there is nothing to worry about and she will be there to hold Shadow\u2019s paw at every step of the way. After that we should have an accurate idea of whether it is just 3 puppies that Shadow is expecting. Once we know we\u2019ll get back to narrowing down the list of names and getting them in order.<\/p>\n
Our Mistress\u2019s fire making skills have gone from one extreme to the other. Firstly she seemed to have some difficulty in getting a fire going and then when she did the room was way too hot as the day warmed up outside too. I\u2019ve pointed out that if she isn\u2019t careful our Mistress is going to find all the local spiders queueing up at the back door claiming refugee status from the appalling conditions of the English autumn. Let\u2019s see how willing she is to share her home then!<\/p>\n
Aristotle has been moaning because it\u2019s his birthday on Saturday and he wants to go to the Entlebucher Fun Day. Some of his brothers and sisters are going and he doesn\u2019t see why he should stay home being supportive to his mother when he could be out enjoying himself. I offered to pay for his train ticket, but it seems he isn\u2019t allowed to go unaccompanied which frankly is rather a shame. To be fair our Mistress says she hates having to miss a Fun Day but it is much too close to Shadow\u2019s due date for us to be away from home and far too stressful for Shadow. She has promised to take Aristotle on a special birthday walk and spoil him here at home.<\/p>\n
