I feel quite proud, most of the tips have been given by humans about what they think we need, mine is one of the few or only ones written from the dog’s point of view. There’s some good stuff over there although I’m hoping our Mistress won’t take too much notice of the more demanding suggestions. If you want to take a look you can find them all here http://animal-health.co.uk/news/dog-training-tips-uk.html For me it stood to reason to liken us to teaching things to young children, most of the time we really are very similar. Ok so some parents manage to keep their kids occupied by sticking them in front of the television but that’s not so much our thing. What we really need is your time and attention working with us and showing us how to do the things you want us to do.

Shadow has moved from not feeling like eating in a morning to wanting to eat everything in sight in two easy days. Monday she had three meals as well as her usual bedtime biscuit and yesterday she asked if she could have a fourth one thrown in. She is going to be one big dog by the time of giving birth and at this rate she’s going to be giving birth to full grown dogs rather than puppies. She came with me to swimming again yesterday and weighed in at 28.2kg, that’s already 4kg above her usual weight. Now our Mistress is arranging for her to have another scan to see a little more what is going on. She is going on Friday and we will see what we find out then. This is her photo being weighed yesterday.

You can find short stories to read at www.alfiedog.com

Alfie’s Diary – the Book as well as our other books are available HERE

I was asked to contribute to a dog training tips page on a website.
