I think I must have worn myself out with my barking on Sunday as yesterday all I wanted was a nice quiet day and I didn\u2019t even respond when Ari came to annoy me. I did go for a lovely walk and enjoyed it even though it was raining heavily. That\u2019s a first for me. It\u2019s funny, getting over my fear of water by going swimming has changed my whole view of water. I wouldn\u2019t go as far as to volunteer to have a bath, but it doesn\u2019t hold any of the concerns that it used to have. I enjoyed being dried off when I got home, although our Mistress could have done with there being someone here to do the same for her. She got at least a little bit wet on all three of the walks, even though Shadow\u2019s had started fine. It\u2019s not so bad at this time of year when the air is warm, but I don\u2019t suppose I shall be prepared to go out in the wet when it gets cold again. It gets into my joints.<\/p>\n
Our Mistress has made a decision. Today is 30 weeks since Shadow\u2019s last season. As it is so hard to continue normal life when you are constantly on standby she says she is going to book an appointment at a specialist so they can have a look at Shadow and see what stage of her cycle she is at. At least then she might have an idea if there is a problem and if waiting is a pointless exercise. Shadow probably won\u2019t mind going too much as it is the same veterinary practice she went to for her bad leg, but of course she might have to go to a different location and see a different person. She probably won\u2019t enjoy being examined but it seems to be in everyone\u2019s interests as life is a little complicated when you think you might be on the road in six days time.<\/p>\n
