What a lovely weekend I had. It was almost a shame to come home. Yesterday got off to a stressful start when the hotel water supply failed and my Mistress couldn\u2019t have a shower. She\u2019s not at her best if she can\u2019t have a shower in the morning and it rather delayed our setting off. It did get sorted in the end, but it was an hour and forty minutes after she first rang reception and reported the problem. My Master went to talk about how much of the bill they were actually paying and said to the receptionist that it was better they came to an agreement as otherwise she\u2019d have his wife (my Mistress) to deal with and quite honestly at that point she was breathing fire.<\/p>\n

Things were a lot calmer at my grandparents. We had a lovely relaxing time and I made up for some of the sleep I didn\u2019t get yesterday by having a long nap. We went through the usual list of jobs for my Mistress, which usually involves sorting out all the computer problems. Granddad has decided he wants a smart phone so she was showing him all the wonderful things they can do. It just shows you are never too old to embrace modern technology.<\/p>\n

Then we came home to varnish the office floor \u2013 such is the excitement of our life! Three quarters of the floor is now done and we need to move the furniture so she can do the last quarter. Once it\u2019s done hopefully that will be it for another five years. The only problem is that the stairs in the house are made of wood too. She is going to try to do the ones from the office to the back door next Saturday and the ones to upstairs next week \u2013 she really knows how to live the high life does our Mistress.<\/p>\n
