When is a frying pan not a frying pan? When the handle falls off. Fortunately my Mistress had removed her tea from it before the separation took place, but she was still very upset. It\u2019s not even an old frying pan. She only bought it a few weeks ago and I have to say we all like the way it fries bacon! She presumed the screw just needed to be tightened, but sadly it\u2019s nothing so simple. The thread has gone. She is now getting in touch with the place that she bought it from, but it\u2019s not very nearby so she\u2019s hoping they will be able to do something by post.<\/p>\n
Shadow went on her first proper walk for ages yesterday. She was hoping to go quite a long way, but she\u2019d fallen upstairs in the morning and pulled her bad leg again so it was only a little walk but she was very happy about it. Now she says she really needs to work hard to get back into shape. She\u2019d been trying to tell me she hadn\u2019t put any weight on, but her harness had to be let out and is still pretty tight, so I would say that is conclusive proof! She\u2019s determined to be fully in shape before the end of May when she\u2019s going to take part in her very first dog show. She is going to the Netherlands to their 40th<\/sup> Anniversary meeting of the Dutch Club for Entlebuchers, Appenzellers and Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs. I\u2019ve decided not to go as I think with all the other dogs I\u2019d find it a bit much. I can\u2019t actually take part in the show, with having been castrated, so I\u2019d have had to be a spectator anyway. If she does ok then my Mistress has said she might take her to a UK show and see if she can qualify to be in the ring at Crufts next year.
